After weeks of hard work, our June 3 sale was a big success. The weather was beautiful (after all the rain we have been experiencing) and the crowds filled the library inside and out. People look forward to this sale every year and we had customers from Pulaski, E. Syracuse, Cleveland, Constantia, Camden, Oneida, Altmar etc. Our bake sale sold out completely and showed the largest profit ever. Carol Flournoy from Sandy Creek and crew come down each year and take what books we didn't sell for their upcoming book sale.
The Williamstown Library is fortunate to have such a tremendous Board of Directors. 3/4 of the Board volunteer EVERY week at the library, the remainder work all day but they appear for all the meetings and events to help out. They were here from 6:30 a.m. Saturday until late that afternoon. This library wouldn't be what it is today without them. And our patrons are so loyal, they bring items for the yard sale, work all day and bake whenever we ask.
This is our only fundraiser each year and our library thanks our community for their continued support.
